Carina Serpa joined Licks Attorneys’ Rio de Janeiro office as a paralegal in 2014 and became an attorney in law in 2017.
Prior to joining the firm, Carina has also gained experience as an intern at a prominent Brazilian law firm, working on regulatory cases.
She has focused her practice on litigation, technology law, regulatory cases and intellectual property matters, including patent infringement and validity litigation concerning the telecommunications industries.
Her experience also includes the participation in an exchange program at University of Coimbra (“UC”).
• Worked with the team that represented a major Swedish company in a patent litigation involving caller ID technology. Obtained a decision on the merits that revoke the patent.
