BRPTO begins recruitment of new examiners
This Wednesday, October 8, the BRPTO announced the start of the hiring process for 120 additional staff, as authorized by Decree #12.647/2025. These individuals, who were previously approved in a public recruitment drive and entered the Office's reserve roster, will reinforce the patent and trademark examination teams.
Of the total positions, 40 are for patents and 40 are for trademarks and industrial designs. The BRPTO expects to begin training the new examiners in November.
The authorization for the hiring was announced in our previous Client Alert on October 2.
