The Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office (INPI) Extends Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) Program with China
The Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office (INPI) has announced, in a letter to the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), the extension of the Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) pilot program between Brazil and China. Originally set to conclude on December 31, 2024, the program will now remain in effect until a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is signed by both parties.
The upcoming MoU is expected to cover the continuation of the PPH framework between 2025 and 2029, further solidifying the collaborative relationship between Brazil and China in the intellectual property domain.
