Bruna Oliveira is a Chemical Engineer and Patent Specialist who joined Licks Attorneys' Rio de Janeiro office in 2022 to work with intellectual property, mainly with prosecution of patent applications and patents at the Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office (BRPTO), with an emphasis on the pharmaceutical, chemical, and biotechnological fields. She acts on analyzing and reporting technical opinions issued by the BRPTO, preparing briefs to comply with or to contest said technical opinions, analyzing patent applications for drafting amendments based on Brazilian particularities, performing searches, and preparing and replying to third-party observations. Ms. Oliveira has knowledge of the Brazilian Patent Statute, normative instructions, and examination guidelines issued by the BRPTO, as well as the main intellectual property treaties.
