Carolina Mendes joined Licks Attorneys’ Rio de Janeiro office as a paralegal in 2017 and became an attorney at law in 2020. Ms. Mendes’ practice focuses on complex litigation in intellectual property law, including patent infringement and patent validity, especially concerning the telecommunication and pharmaceutical industries. She has also experience with administrative proceedings before government agencies, such as the BRPTO. In 2022, Ms. Mendes was featured as a speaker on panels concerning online hearings both at the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB/RJ) and the Rio de Janeiro State Attorney’s Office (PGE-RJ).
