Matheus Souza has been an attorney at law at Licks Attorneys’ São Paulo office since 2025. Before joining Licks Attorneys, Mr. Souza gained extensive experience in high-level regulatory matters, including health, agricultural, professional councils, and healthcare insurance legislation and regulation, as well as professional councils and administrative health regulatory proceedings before ANVISA (Brazil’s FDA), CMED (Brazil’s Drug Market Regulation Chamber), ANS (Brazil’s Supplementary Health Agency), and MAPA (Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food Supply). Mr. Souza has worked representing clients from several industries such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, cosmetics, tobacco, food, feed, pesticides, and chemical. He also has practical experience in matters involving licensing and registration of products subject to health surveillance, new technologies, drugs pricing registration and defense, the launch of new products in the Brazilian market, and product recalls.
