He will boost our patent area, which handles several top-selling drug patent families, by expanding the chemical and biotech practice. Prior to joining Licks Attorneys, he was with Braskem. His career spans over 30 years of experience as a leader of technological development projects in the Chemical Industry and as an internal consultant in large-scale chemical/petrochemical companies.Mr. Morschbacker is an inventor and co-inventor of 22 patent applications in different technologies, including catalysts, fine chemicals products, high performance polymers, chlorinated products, polymerization processes, bio-based monomers and polymers from renewable feedstocks and genetically modified microorganisms to produce chemical products. In addition, he was responsible for the prosecution, structuring and definitions of Industrial Property strategies, management of patent portfolios, negotiation and interface with patent offices in Brazil, Europe and USA and in Joint Development and Technology Transfer Contracts.“Morschbacker’s experience will strengthen the office’s steady growth, while expanding into areas of practice closely associated with our core capabilities.
